From 5 to 8 November 2019 the next edition of aquanale, the International Trade Fair Sauna, Pool and Ambience, will be staged in Cologne.
In total, around 320 companies from over 25 countries are expected at this year’s aquanale, of which 50 per cent are coming from abroad. The largest contingents from outside Germany came from Belgium, Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain and the Czech Republic.

The event is clearly structured into six theme worlds:

public pool facilities
swimming pool technology
private swimming pools
saunas & spas
private spas, and
green living.

Thanks to the new structure, all different pool segments will be presented at aquanale. National and international trade fair visitors from architect’s and planning offices, municipalities, leisure and fun parks, specialised pool companies can convince themselves of the comprehensive, innovative spectrum of products, simply and with short routes. In addition, this year’s broad event programme is guaranteed to provide added value.

Growth

Almost all of the international who’s who of the industry have confirmed they will attend the event in Cologne. aquanale has recorded considerable growth in the sauna segment. Accordingly, this segment is presented in Hall 6 in an attractively designed compact area across almost 2,000 square metres. A large group of Finnish sauna manufacturers that have formed the Sauna from Finland network to promote the Finnish sauna experience is also represented at the fair.

8th International Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum

This year the congress focuses on eight areas. Public pool refurbishment, aspects of sustainability, and future trends are dealt with.

Innovative architectural and engineering planning are on the agenda as well. European standards (both for public and private pools) form a further block.

Further training for and assessment of pool staff – another item on the forum’s agenda enhanced by two cross-sector units, communication on the one hand and new work on the other.

All visitors to the trade fair and exhibitors are invited to participate in the free and diverse programme. Registration is not required. Just drop in, listen, ask questions, join in the discussion, and take something away.

The subject matter and contents of the forum will be overseen by the German Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (bsw) and the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS).

Simultaneous interpreting is provided (German/English).

Events

The European Waterpark Association (EWA) together with Koelnmesse GmbH will be presenting a special exhibition entitled “96º“, which will focus on new attractions for sauna and wellness landscapes in leisure pools and thermal baths. “96º“ will present innovations in sauna construction as well as the application of cold therapies and how they are featured in wellness worlds.
The international significance of aquanale for the industry is also reflected in the fact that associations and institutions use the event for presenting prestigious awards. Presented this year at aquanale will be the EUSA Award (European Union of Swimming Pool and Spa Associations), the EWA Marketing Award, the IAKS Award (sports, exercise and swimming pool) and the Golden Wave (Schwimmbad & Sauna magazine).
Alongside, the BDS Meeting Point (Bundesverband Deutscher Schwimmmeister/Federal Association of German Swimming Pool Attendants) in the same hall, and the bsw networking area in Hall 6 are also important contact points for trade visitors and exhibitors.

Duo

The trade fair duo of aquanale and FSB, the International Trade Fair for Public Space, Sports and Leisure Facilities, turn the fairgrounds in Cologne into the most important international meeting place for the public and private pool sectors, as well as for the amenity area planning and design, sports facilities and playgrounds, sports equipment, exercise areas and recreational facilities sectors.

FSB is the international platform for the amenity area, play, sports, exercise and recreational industries.
